A horror themed puzzle platformer based on an old RPG Maker game that had its focus on mystery and exploration. It's a good game, but it's not hard to see why most fans of the Indie classic are displeased with this remake. The original had a very unique charm that's almost entirely missing in the new game. What used to be an open world adventure is reduced to linear stages with their own gimmicks, the unique music is replaced with monotone ambient sounds, lots of character effects that made the original interesting are missing entirely. As far as remakes go it's pretty terrible, but ignoring the relation to its inspirator, Dream Diary is a good game on its own. Even if it's nothing special, I still enjoyed it for what it is.
